If you’ve got an appreciation for churches then it’s worthy to go and check it out. If however you’ve been to a lot of European-styled churches this one you’ll find similar.

We wandered in during a service when no photos were allowed. The architecture is breathtaking...check out the ornate statues and the painted ceilings. And don’t forget the entire skeleton in a glass sarcophagus on the left side of the main sanctuary. Europe has a way...More

Went up on the tower for a great view of Munich. I think it was at least 300 steps, narrow stairs. Would not recommend if you are elderly. However the view is definitely worth it!

I recently read a review that said that this church is average with little adornments. I have to disagree on this one. The interior is quite lovely with a magnificent gilt altar, Gothic paintings and statues and frescoes on the ceilings. Various churches have been...More

So as churches go, this one is quite average. Standard design but without any elaborate adornments. The tower, which you get to from outside, is a standard, narrow circular climb up 300 steps I think it is. Once on top, a very narrow walk way...More

I counted 307 steps to the top of the round tower. It is only €3 to ascend and it is a lovely experience. Well worth the few euro. It is fun as there are bottlenecks with people going up and down and meeting on the...More
