Totally unique area and the glockenspiel is not to be missed. Great atmosphere and the very informative tourist office is located there.

The highlight of the visit is the glockenspiel show. Read up about the wedding between the two great duchy and Cooper dance, then you will appreciate the show better.

Amazing buildings! The atmosphere is wonderful. The feeling you get walking the busy streets filled with fruit vendors and street performers is almost like being at a festival, even in the middle of a weekday. Good food, good beer, neat gardens. Unfortunately, the Brigite Podler...More

It's bustling with people....filled with energy. The dancing figures perform at 11am and noon daily.

It was hot & crowded the day we were there, but wonderful! A "market day" feel with tourists & locals. Grandson had Nutella crepe which he called "best ever"!

Beautiful square with stunning architect. This old town Munich is just beautiful. Many charming old buildings surround this area. Public parking is very close and many places to eat and shop for souvenirs.

Perhaps the most touristy place in Munich. Lots of things going around for the entire day. Locals advice to visit in the evening during summer.

The square is extremely beautiful, but it is terribly crowded. However that may be due to the huge influx of tourists during Oktoberfest. There are plenty of places to eat at and quite often street performers are about.

I loved this Platz, so much to see and do. The church and such a variety of restaurants and cafes, not to mention the on-street entertainment. We spent a lot of time there

The architecture is beautiful and stunning and worth a couple of photos. But it’s very touristy and crowded, surrounded by big brand shops like H&M etc. Worth seeing but don’t plan to spend too much time here.

We did not pay to walk around it. It hosts the mayor and city council. We had lunch at the historic restaurant, Ratskeller.
