The casino has slot machines downstairs. I didn't visit them. My wife and I like to play Roulette and there were plenty of tables upstairs. The upstairs has a dress code. You must wear a jacket but they will provide you one if you don't come in with your own. I was wearing jeans and t-shirt and they loaned me a jacket. Roulette is in the French style. The staff were nice and friendly. Only gripe I had was the very poor drink service. Noone came to check on us while we were there for five hours. Great place to play though, I would definitely go back.

Good for Some Luck
Aug 2015
Friendly front workers, and very good first time Free Drinks. Gaming tables are upstairs with a dress code which helps make the place feel classier. Slot floor is a bit small. Nicely laid out with good options especially for electronic roulette. Good hors d'oeuvres set out. Machines had multiple language options thankfully. Walked away ahead after an hour of two of us gambling. Worth the moment to give your luck a try.

Me and my husband do not go to such places but since we got a tourist card there we could go in of free and get a glass of sparkling wine we went in. Well not a place to stay, just some slot machines and nothing more. We left very soon...

calling this a casino is a bit of a stretch. It is more of a room with slot machines. If there are 100 machines I would be surprised. (we did not go upstairs to the table games) Decorated like an old Miami Vice set and all the machines set to silent or close to silent it is a strange experience if you are used to the fun and excitement of American casinos. Despite the weirdness we ended up here at least once a day during our trip because there was not a lot to do in Garmisch at night. They say there is a fee to enter but we were never charged it, also a dress code but we showed up in whatever we had on polo shirt, jeans) just make sure you have your passport for entry. Also you don't put your cash in the machines as in the states. Go to the cashier and they will give you a casino card that you put your money on to, like a debit card. You then put the card in to the slots and it adds and deducts your money as you go along. It was very easy at the end of the night to get your money off of the card either at one of the casino cash machines or the cashier.

Downstairs in the Daytime

We visited the Spielbank in Garmish on a cold, rainy afternoon. The upstairs with the table gambling was not open. The slot machine area was large and very clean with a good assortment of American-style machines. There were .01 Euro machines as well as other denominations. The first visit is free with no entry fee. The Spielbank is very clean and costs only .50 Euro to enter. Another tip is the parking in the same building. The elevator from the underground parking exits in the lobby so it is quite easy to access the casino. Follow the traffic signs to Spielbank for an afternoon entertainment or a convenient place to park to visit shops and restaurants in the pedestrian strip.

Slow Thursday

Was there on a Thursday night about 7:30 to 9 PM. Jacket and shirt with collar required but no tie required. Very plush. Not much going on upstairs except roulette. I had a whole Blackjack table to myself- I was the only one playing. Slots were all downstairs but all appeared to be in German so I didn't play. Returned Friday to cash in chips and it still wasn't busy.
