The name gave us all a giggle but the view was spectacular! The fresh air, cows and treking opportunities were fantastic and the cable car ride very enjoyable.

This unfortunately named mountain has great views over the towns of Garmish and Partenkirchen as well as across at the much higher Alps. There are plenty of options for hiking if you fancy it but with young children we took the cable car up and...More

The views were lovely and great walks. We went up and down by cable car at a cost of 20 euros each. Well worth the cost.

Visited here in June 2018. We walked up from the bottom and it took approx 2.15 hours though I would allow 3-4 if you're with children. It is quite a steep walk but paths are marked out well. It was very misty the day we...More

Hiked up with our 8 & 10 yr old- wonderful view, and was just enough for them to handle (almost too much!) We're confident it was a better decision than to drop the $$ on the Zugspitze tram. You always have a better view of...More

Nice cable car ride up with amazing views of Garmish. We were lucky to have good weather and the views of Zugspitze and the other Alps were stunning. Lots of areas to relax and enjoy the views on wooden chair swings and benches. Also a...More

We were really thinking we wanted to go to the Zugspitze mountain this day. The wonderful person at our hotel suggested that the Zugspitze would be cloudy on this day and to try the Wank mountain. She said it is lots of fun ... good...More

It's possible, but the snow can start in late October. Depending on fitness level- maybe 4-5 hours. You also have to be aware that in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen valley you are 700 meters in altitude and then going up the... More
