If you start your trip from Zugspitz-station on Olympiastraße 27 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, note that there is free parking on a parking lot at the corner of Olympiastraße and St.-Martin-Straße. The entrance is opposite to the LIDL supermarket which is right next to the Zugspitz-station building....More

The Zugspiyzbahn is costly yet enjoyable .It takes you through Green pasture Beautiful valley,mountain right to zugspitz.It is safe and well maintained bahn.

The trip to the montain takes almost an hour. If the weather is nice, there are not reats available for everybody. So be repaired to stand. Banyhow it is worth it.
