We received a Karwendel Gastekart at our 3 day stay at a local Gasthof, this includes a free descent or ascent on the Kranzberg Sesselift.....so off we went. We payed extra €5 the descent, we shouldn't have bothered, the walk down was a real enjoyment....More

Take the Kranzberg single chair lift to the top, a 15 minute ride up and enjoy the beautiful scenery. 5 Euros. Buy a trail map at the lift. Easy hiking paths wind throughout, up and down. We hiked down to Lautersee Lake, then a little...More

Any time of year, a hike up Hoher Kranzberg, makes you feel you are alive! A great alternative if the weather is not cooperating to allow you to go up Karwendel.

Take the 2 chairlift to Sankt Anton restaurant. Or walk to the top. It will take 90 minutes. But the views across the mountain valleys are worth it.

I have skied here three times in the last five years, both alone and with friends. It's easily accessible using the free bus from Mittenwald, and has the advantage of Mittenwald itself for accommodation, cafés and restaurants. The skiing is leisurely, more than challenging, but...More

A very pleasant ski lift up, whizzing along just above the trees. We then walked down (steepish in parts) and around Lautersee - again very pretty and an easy stroll. Note that the ski lift features single-seat cars so would be problematic if you were...More

You should take the train to Mittenwald. There is a parking space in front.
