This is an industrial heritage and worthwhile walking around. Many small companies have rented some space there and the salt museum is there. Salt was won there since > 4000 years ago ! There is a restaurant/bar with a terrace.

Place is full of interesting history of salt mining. There is also a shop were you can buy lots of different type of salts. Tour is only in german language so you have to read text from a paper.

Fascinating history trip into the past. About a 45 minute tour in German (they provide an English paper with main facts on it) but it was still great. Can take pictures and the museum was fantastic. Spent as much time there as in the tour!

Interesting tour. Written information in English to accompany tour. Good value salt products available in shop. But, you have to keep small kids away from moving machinery.
