Positives: Large place, many many hands-on scientific things to touch and experience. You can easily spend a good 4 hours in this place, plan a minimum of 2h. They have some massive displays, for example, a working waterwheel driving an entire weaver shop. There is...More

Enjoyed this museum with its eclectic collection of artifacts. The hands-on approach was very appealing. More English labelling would be helpful to tourists. Also, the layout of the place is ridiculously confusing, with absent signage.

We spent a great afternoon at the museum. There was a lot to do and see and some very interesting demonstrations. A lot of the exhibits were only in German - perhaps something to improve if they wish to attract more tourists.

Worth visiting while in Mannheim. Only when the weather is not so nice, be prepared that the whole museum is crowded with people. Other than that, the stations are really well designed, one can learn interesting things and spend nice few hours in the museum.

This medium-sized technical museum was a surprising find in a near suburb of Mannheim. Great for children aged 8 - 80.

Installations are designed along a linear floor-by-floor route, starting with introducing key concepts of physics and mechanics as well as providing hands on/interactive exhibits to further understanding of such concepts. They then go on to show the combination and application of these concepts in increasingly...More
