My primary purpose was to see how far I could muddle through in French and my bonus would be to take home a great dessert. Bingo!! Emile, our Chef Pâtissier talked while he demonstrated so I was able to follow along with the rest of the class. We made a pastry called Opéra; it was quite a production. The next dessert I buy I’ll remember the amount of effort and the incredible ingredients that go into something that wraps up dinner. I can’t recommend this place enough: friendly staff, incredible instructors, and you go home with a dessert you made yourself. It’s so beautiful I wonder if I can have it preserved as a paperweight...

I took a bûche de nöel class at l’atelier des sens and it was such a treat. Everything was top notch from the wonderful instructor, to the charming class space, to the spectacular bûches the class made and got to take home. I look forward to trying out my new baking skills this Christmas!
