We were treated to a guided tour of this fascinating establishment which informed us about the art of silk weaving on looms which date back to the 19th century. The boutique had wonderful scarves to purchase—the hard part was choosing which one to buy! Here’s...More

The colors and patterns of these glorious silks are exquisite and priced fairly, I think. I bought a small lavender-filled sachet to use when I travel. Watched a women in their workshop applying color to a piece on the loom and it was going to...More

My husband and I so enjoyed hearing about the history of silk making in Lyon. Our guide allowed us to touch and feel many fabrics, and the cocoon of a silk worm. He also demonstrated two of the machines. Highly recommend!

The weaver’s son, in his second year of training, showed us several looms including the Jacquard. Beautiful silk and gold threads are used. He only spoke French so our interpreter was important.

We stayed in the neighborhood, we had the address, and it still took us 3 days to find it. It's the back room of the silk STORE, with silk ties and scarves in the window. The museum has looms, bobbins, pattern books, and old fabrics.
