This is THE place for spectacular views of this beautiful city. See the basilica first and then head out to the overlook. There were no crowds when we were there so we could take our time and do it leisurely.

Fourviere Hill offers outstanding panoramic views of Lyon. Take the tram to the top, visit the Fourviere Church, and walk down the shaded path.

Came here on one of the good weather days. From the top of the hill you can enjoy spectacular views. Used the funicular to get to the top but i think you can also walk.

Enjoyed the views and sites we visited, went up the stairs about 12 -15 minutes and down the park/ garden route. Wear comfortable shoes.

Sorry we didn't eat up there but you can easily get the funicular down to the old town only takes 10 minutes or so where there are dozens of restaurants!

Same answer as above as it`s quiet steep but if it folds you can fit it on the funicular. Good luck.
