The tunnel is not in any way different than other tunnels on the way or at all. The only thing that makes it really exciting is to be aware that you are right under the Aiguille du Midi peak.

This is a very long tunnel. Ideal for driving from one side of the mountain to the other. Expensive, but the alternative is an extra 3 hours driving. Well constructed. Acoustics are good if you have a noisy car!

Long, wide and mostly straight, with a bit of a curve. Just the way I like ‘em. Great tunnel, would go again.

We used the tunnel as part of our driving route from France to Italy. It's a great experience and a fantastic feat of engineering. However we were delayed for 45 minutes at the entrance as there was a breakdown in the tunnel - you need...More

A good way to cross Italy to France and the scenery is completely different on both sides. I thought the French side was more dramatic especially as there was snow high up. Imagine it gets really busy in holiday season

Tickets available at the entry to the tunnel. Please establish wether you want one way or return at the time of buying the ticket ( one return ticket is much cheaper than two one way tickets )
