This market was incredibly disappointing with limited food options and too many vendors selling cheap junk. This market was nothing like the quality markets that I have been to in other parts of France.

On our cruise ship stop with MSC meraviglia in March we just cane across this little market. Full of the locals and stopped at a traditional cafe for rocket fuel strength coffee!

Provence was once famous for its markets but like everything else, it seems, they're becoming a thing of the past. This is a very long one with a big variety of goods for sale, of varying degrees of quality. Not much food...mostly fish and vegetables,...More

Prado Market stretches from Castellane Metro for 2 blocks to l’Allée Turcat Méry, in the 6th arrondissment of Marseille. The locals say the quality has markedly diminished in recent years. A lot of flea market products – cheap sun glasses, batteries, plasticwares, bedding and other...More

Even for North Americans the possibility of picking up a semi-antique curiosity is very remote as most ware offered is beyond garbage calibre, it is a real flea market, pretty dirty and nothing special, however strolling around the area does give one a flavor of...More

Nothing exceptional, but a nice place to walk around and watch people doing their daily business. There is a small fruit market section but mostly the market is about clothes and souvenirs. As usual, beware of pickpockets, but the place is safe.

We heard that that market was something special but it isn't at all. The products are poor and quite expensive for being a market. Fruit and vegetables are overpriced. You can find much better prices in other places of the city.

The Prado street market in Marseille starting at Castelaine for 2 blocks is a great place for family shopping for bargains of all sorts. Including veg and seafood. Don't forget to buy a pizza slice from the market van...one of the best pizza slices I...More

This market is great for everyday things from clothes, shoes, children's clothes, household items, batteries, plastic wares, bedding and other knick knacks. I live in Lyon and there isn't cheap alternatives to everday things here so this market is great for me. It's not fancy...More
