I walked to the Park and I spent about 1 hour enjoying the stunning views of Marseille Port, the Fort opposite, and the busy transit of all shapes sailing and motor boats. I didn't have time left to visit the actual palace...next time I will!

The park that surrounds the Palais du Pharo is called Emilie Duclaux (per the sun as you enter). There is a gate with guards - but pedestrians can enter through the door gates on each side. There were many families with children there when we...More

The Pharo is an imposing palace located at a high point of the Marseille coast line. Surrounded by a pleasant garden, it commands a stunning view of the city, from the Muceem on one side to Notre Dame de la Garde at the other extreme....More

We walked around here on our self guided walking tour of Marseille. It is worth going this far and sitting a while to enjoy the views back down the Vieux Port. There is lots of green space around the building. A lovely spot. The Palais...More

a demanding but worth while walk to the top of the cliffs. Did not go in the building but the views across the city from the park surrounding it are lovely especially of the port anf the old fort across the bay

A fantastic free park where you can get some of the best views of marseille. There are a lot people sitting around in the sun and just enjoying the time goes by. We did as well.

I think the proper name of this park is Emile Duclaux ( that's what it says at the entrance ) but I'm assuming it's the same place. This was our favourite spot in Marseille, just to sit on a shaded bench and read, have a...More

We walked from Vieux Port up to the Palais du Pharo. A great place to sit in the grounds and have a picnic. The views of the town are quite stunning, but it was disappointing to discover that you can't go inside the Palais. It...More
