This was a add on to our already planned trip, and I'm so glad we did it! First, the countryside with vineyard after vineyard is wonderful! When you get to the site, take the time to check out the museum. It's small, but very well...More

Thank you misssteffie for your comment. We are delighted that you enjoyed the ride! Climbing in the morning is a good idea in this scorching period. The summit is not built, it is necessary to help and monitor the children.

This quick hike is well worth the time! It's a moderate hike with unbelievably beautiful views of the nearby towns and vineyards. I did not want to leave!

It is a fairly easy walk to the top, clear trail. At the top you get to see 360 degree panoramas. There are horses and donkeys on the way up and of course the green of the vineyards look beautiful against the blue and grey...More

Be sure to visit the Musee de Prehistoire at the base of the Rock of Solutre. It's an important archeological site and the museum explains irs significance well. There's also a nice coffee shop and welcome center near the base of the Rock of Solutre.
