The Fragonard museum is located in the Villeneuve hotel, a historic building restored in the spirit of the 18th century Grasse mansions. Dedicated to the most famous child of the city of Grasse, the painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806), this museum presents about fifteen major works of the artist. It also houses a collection of paintings by two other Grasse artists, Marguerite Gérard (1761-1837) and Jean-Baptiste Mallet (1759-1835). This set is the second French collection of works by Jean-Honoré Fragonard after the Louvre and the first for the other two artists. Open 7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm Visit and free entry.

We enjoyed our visit very much. We walked through the ancient perfume tools from different countries and joined the tour telling us how Fragonard began many years ago. We were shown the manufacturing and study of perfumes. It was an informative and amazing experience.

Unique experience to see the place where the perfumes Fragonard are produced. Love the Iris one plus the various clothing pieces they produce.

We arrived as it just opened so no crowds. Limited parking at the front of the museum / shop. Free entry and tour. Nicely laid shop at the end of the tour.
