Small art museum but nice sculptures in the permanent collection as well as some nice gems Van Gogh, Bonnard. Liked the special exhibition as well. Check what's on before planning on going.

The Granet is a long-established museum in Aix, with an amazing collection of sculptures and a nice collection of antiquities. It has frequent special exhibits. In addition, three or so years ago they opened the Musee XXeme, in a restored chapel with the collection of...More

Delicious lunch and interesting visit learning about Nicolas Staël. Cézanne film very informative. Extensive exhibition of Staël’s work from 1953-54

We visited the museum and annexe. Your ticket allows into both. Both are worth a look, both are curated well and it does not take too long to get through.

A peaceful space with some super art. Well worth the visit, although be aware that it doesn’t open until 12 midday, or didn’t on the day we were there.

A little underwhelming- when I went, there weren't many Cezanne paintings. My best recommendation: check to see what the traveling exhibit is before visiting.

We heard a lot of chatter about the Cezanne exhibit, but frankly it was pretty underwhelming. I bought the audio guide and there were very few Cezanne pieces interpreted with the guide. Seriously, maybe it was 8 or less? Compared to the exhibit on Botero/Picasso...More

We liked the At Home Cezanne exhibit and Granet's artwork - but could have passed on the rest. We especially did not like the Tal Coat exhibit. With price of entry you can go to the Granett XX museum. The modern art pictures and church...More

An excellent restoration of this museum. We did find the Cezanne At Home exhibit to be not as comprehensive as we would have wished. It could have done with better curating. The Tal Coat exhibit, although interesting, did not appeal. We loved the permanent exhibits,...More
