So sad to see such filth and sick people. The streets are disgusting. Trash everywhere. Homeless looking people spitting on the ground. People littering left and right. It’s a sick city. Saw lots of misery.

This road is idyllic. We took a stroll in balmy spring weather with bright sunshine and it is beautiful. The road has plenty of history evidenced by the historic building well maintained at both sides of the street. The historic buildings all tell a story....More

This is the main thoroughfare in Aix-en-Provence. There are lots of cafes and shops along this street. The most famous & oldest cafe is Les Deux Garcons(1792) where Cezanne frequented.

Can't see the fuss myself. Perhaps when the market is set up, the place takes on some local colour. Otherwise it's just a road... with shops... and cafés full of tourists. The Apple store dominating the roundabout is beyond vulgar - a monstrous scar on...More

We were lucky to be visiting this town on a sunny day, and walking through the market that was along this street was a great experience for the senses. People were selling all kinds of food, fabrics, accessories, and the variety was incredible. Highly recommended...More

Look...Aix is a great city but this November the whole downtown was a mess, couldn't drive or park properly, workers all over, some streets were simply closed with no indications etc..perhaps the Mayor is on holiday !?
