If you visit La Rochelle, this market is a must do, best days are Wednesday and Saturday. The range of fresh produce is mind blowing, the presentation is mouth watering. It must be one of the best in Europe. One visit is not enough, unless...More

First visit to La Rochelle which was hampered by the amount of road digging that was taking place. All the parking places seemed to have been taken over by road mending equipment making it impossible to park in town. We parked about 10 mins away...More

The market is located at the heart of the city. It opens daily during 12:00 midnight and 3:30 pm. Perhaps it supplies the local restaurants as well as residents. There are fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, fresh meats, and - of course -...More

Called into the markets for the first time, due to our apartment being just around the corner. We were not prepared for the fantastic array of seafood, cheeses, bread and wine on offer. My gosh, amazing. There is a cafe outside that allows you to...More
