I hate Irish pubs abroad. They are tacky and formulaic. Mercifully this place is different. An impressive range of UK and French football scarves cover the ceiling. This was a lovely spot for a quiet afternoon pint. And a pint means a pint. Marvellous place.

Been all over Europe and in hundreds of different Irish bars, this is the best one I’ve ever been in. Owner sat with us for hours drinking explaining history on the city whilst keeping everyone drinking. Best Irish bar we’ve ever sat in.

Came in here on a rainy night when we heard there'd be a pub quiz. The place was very warm, being underground, and pints weren't cheap (close to standard for La Rochelle). But the quiz was great, well-run and good fun. Bar staff were sound...More

We have been holidaying in this part of France for many years and have visited the beautiful city of La Rochelle. As avid GAA fans we needed to find some place to see a major hurling match. McNultys has live GAA and every other sport...More
