Very busy with many different shop types.We lived in Rue Du Palais for 6 months ,and found it hard to get through the crowds from July-September.It settled after that.If you like shopping and you can afford it then Rue Du Palais is for you. Some...More

We stayed in a lovely flat overlooking this street. Most days there was a street market bustling with shoppers, especially on Saturday. The arcades and old buildings are stunning and the location is between the Place Verdun and the Port, handy for buses and restaurants.

In La Rochelle, for the locals and for strolling tourists, la rue du palais is certainly, the most attractive historical arcade street. It is busy with its various fashionable boutiques, bookshops, salon de the, its gallerie la fayette,pharmacies, banks, and a great bag travel store....More

Wish I had the bank account to do this place justice! Some really lovely shops with gorgeous products. I love the way the French have maintained the small shop feel even for 'chains' like Nice Things. Obvious stores here are Gallery Lafayette, Zara, H&M etc...More

Packed with restaurants cafés and small boutiques, Rue du Palais Is a shopping-must. Wether here to gaze at designer clothes or just wander around La Rochelle, The street deserves its name boasting with beautiful architecture and magnificent buildings!
