Take the solar powered Le Passeur ferry from the Chain Tower. You get to sail between the two towers and can save a lot of walking. It only costs EUR1

A lot of reconstruction going on around the harbour in April 2018 which detracts from an otherwise nice area.

Wander around the old harbour and pick up the atmosphere. Lots of quaint side streets and city walks to be enjoyed in thus charming historic town centre.

Nice harbour and shopping area; we enjoyed the stroll round the old walls. Everything is tidy and clean. Many restaurants to choose from.

The Old Port seems to be the central magnet for this town. Though during the coldest spell for most of Europe is probably not the best time to go anywhere, was quite happy to be here for a mixture of cold , rain, high winds,...More

We stopped in for a visit, but during winter. It was an interesting place of historic buildings, a pretty port, boats and many little streets. There were a few small christmas markets out, and most food places don't open for food until midday. It can...More

I am partially disabled (crutches) and didn't take the bus. The ferry is accessible IIRC and the ride is quite nice if the weather is good. The port area is very compact, easy to navigate. The main streets are no problem... More
