A small museum detailing the local history of Le Mans and the Plantaganet dynasty that started here. The museum is easy to navigate around and includes a skeleton of a child. There are also several Beaumont family tombstones from a local abbey.

This modern, light filled museum provides the visitor with a wide ranging overview of the history of Le Mans from Roman times through the Medieval period. Major construction outside the building makes handicap entry almost impossible for the next several weeks.

Ancient buildings used in many medieval movies as background. Interesting little shops on main street. Lots of photo opportunities.
