Slightly off the beaten track this clock is simply stunning. The delicate, indeed, ornate, surrounds are magnificent, and the setting is simply wonderful. One of the must do attractions of Rouen.

We came across randomly to this “Gros-Horloge”, just turning around a corner and it was there. My wife remembered this was part of the 10 “Mast see” in Rouen. Honestly I don’t think it make sense to visit on purpose

Don't leave Rouen without visiting Gros-Horloge. It's an impressive clock with a detailed Renaissance design and known to be one of the oldest clock mechanisms in Europe. This area tends to be crowded with visitors starting 10am. So if you want to have a nice...More

It's an easy walk - it's fairly level. I have one knee replaced and the other needs to be done. I always use a cane when touring (otherwise at home I don't) to give you some idea of how mobile I am.
