Surprisingly beautiful for a modern church. Lots of stained glass allows interesting light into the church.

Do not be fooled by the rather staid exterior of this church. The stained glass inside is astounding. The 107 metre bell tower was built according to the principle “God is the centre where the spirit rises” and contains over 12,700 pieces of multicoloured glass....More

On our cruise ship stop with celebrity silhouette in April this monument dominates the Le Havre sky line. No far from the cruise terminal as you can see.

From the inside is it really amazing! Probably the Highlight of le Havre. Go inside, far more sophisticated than from the outside.

It was built after WW2 in memory of victims of the Second World War. This 107-meter high octagon concrete tower was created by Auguste Perret, the architect for the post-war new city of Le Havre. There is no fee but donations are accepted.

If you are ever in Le Havre you must go here. Wonderful tower which seems to go on for ever. Look for the spiral staircase part of the way up.
