Doesn't matter your nationality or age - this is a must-do. To actually see the beaches where so many brave soldiers from many countries landed is very moving. Of course now they are just attractive seaside areas, but get a visual idea of those terrible...More

Incredible to walk the beaches which led to the end of ww2. The tides ebb and flow considerably, leaving 500 yards of beach at low tide (when allied forces first hit the beach). 175,000 personnel landed, with approximately 5,000 killed that day (most at Omaha...More

So thankful we visited various beaches (Omaha, Utah, Pointe du Hoc) with our children (ages 14, 12, & 9) and my parents. Made various information we all had about WWII much more tangible and real. Pointe du Hoc was awesome as we were able to...More

I looked forward to seeing the D–Day beaches, and I came here with an excellent guide, having read several books to set the scene. But it was all somehow disappointing. Everything I read about is, of course, gone. It’s just a beach. And Gettysburg is...More

We spend some days to visit the different beaches; You have to do it. Drive all along the beaches and discover history.

Magnificent coastal views, magnificent scenery and steeped in history. We salute the bravery who fought and gave their lives. Arrowmanche and Gold beach where the British landed, visit the museum amazing to see the remains of the floating harbour... Tony UK

I found the experience at St Laurent underwhelming. I believe this is where the tour buses take you to see 'Omaha Beach'. There is one statue, one sculpture, a couple touristy restaurants and a touristy museum. Better to spend your time at the American Cemetery...More

We drove from Juno and Sword beach down to Omaha Beach. These beaches are so peaceful and serene now that one can only imagine what D-Day was like. Some of the beaches are very wide while others are not so wide. Regardless of your nationality,...More

I loved visiting the beaches. History remembered. Just a jaw dropping and shiver inducing experience.

We spent 3 days in this area. We walked the beaches and heard the details from our guide. We visited all the museums and walked the American Cemetary. The experience was overwhelming. These were such young men sent to do an impossible mission. I would...More

I used Paris city vision. Long day (6 am to 9 pm), but I could sleep during the 6 hour of drive time (like nearly everyone else).
