Interesting and informative museum that is well presented and laid out. Lots to read about and look at. Reasonable entry price especially as it provides access to temporary shows and exhibits.
We really enjoyed the temporary art exhibition - Jef Aerosol. This was amazing and made the visit for us.

Historic building with unique style. They created a lovely child "ghost" character which is very cute (as used to be a hospital...) Not many things to see, more to appreciate the building .

Nice and educational hospital museum but heavily under construction until January 2022. Walk into the late 1600’s and feel how the nuns lived and devoted their lives to god and the sick

An informative and unique museum for the city. Though short, it was still good to visit. Plus it was free too so nothing wrong with that.

When we visited, there was a modern art exhibition staged within the old hospice, which made for some strange but interesting relationships between the sometimes quirky, sometimes challenging contemporary work, and the permanent exhibition of the rooms of the hospice, kitchen, ward, pharmacy and so on. The only downside was that it became more difficult to imagine the hospital as it once was. Well worth a visit, though.

We stopped by the Musee Hospice Comtesse as part of the walking tour of Lille Old Town. Our tour guide gave an outstanding explanation of the museum, including it purpose.

Whenever visiting towns and cities we like to get a good feel for the history of a place and visiting a museum or two is a good way to do this. Hence we had identified this museum as worth visiting when in Lille.

It's a short walk from the town centre. The audit guide is very good (some can be twee and far too wordy) and the building itself is fascinating.

On the ground floor you see some of the original rooms including the apothecary and linen room whilst the first floor is a vast open space with some interesting paintings, wood carvings and other artefacts from the town's history.

Definitely worth a visit if you want to know a bit more about the history of Lille.

This museum was very well done and there were docents all along the way to answer questions. There were wonderful old paintings, and furniture also.
