On my first morning in Toulouse, I was taken to this market which is quite wonderful with beautifully displayed fruits and vegetables and meats and pastries and breads and cheese and . . . it is a rather formal market but full of delicious foods.

This is a wonderful food market, with a huge range of different stall's across all different types of food, from meat to fish and bakery There is a very useful multi-storey car park above the market We really enjoyed an hour wandering around

Interesting to look around and view a variety of French food. Not really suitable for vegetarians as there is a lot of meat !!

Afeast for the eyes, great quality products but be aware..not cheap..still quality has a price.Look for the bread, the best in town, the cheese monger has to be stopped by and for the fish lover..it is heaven.

Europe has a habit of closing on Sundays. In France there a strict rules about it. But Sunday morning in Toulouse? Take a stroll to Marche Victor Hugo and buy what you need for that fantastic Sunday meal. It's a French thing.

Wonderful food market. Be warned... if you are not familiar with the local food, you may be turned off by some of the offerings...

Wish I had more time to visit again while I was in Toulouse. Stayed there and drank wine and watched the world go by! So much food and restaurants also upstairs.

Yes on Sundays morning... Better to be there before 10 am and avoid the crowd. You can also have lunch upstairs in one of the many tiny Bistros offering local dishes. Unsure about the Bistros open on Sunday noon but all week... More
