The Couvent is an incredibly peaceful place to visit. The cloisters are understated but beautiful, with 160 marble columns lining the courtyard and offering lovely views of the church next door. Information boards provide interesting insights into the both the buildings and the Jacobin order...More

Go on the first Sunday of the month as its free! Walk around and take some lovely photos. It was an old place for nuns and monks who rested there and there is a lot of religious art and church areas.

The church is very spacious inside and that is thanks to elongated, narrow windows and 22-meters columns. Light coming through stained glass dances on the walls. In the monastery there are also relics of Saint. Thomas Aquinas. There is also cloister inside encouraging for walks.

This parvis located in the center of Toulouse, closed to the church called "Les Jacobains" is one of the famous place to see in Toulouse, due to his history. Somestimes, there are also concerts, with very talent music players.

You can see some of the church's stained-glass windows from the outside, and the one with repeated fleur-de-lis is particularly...More

I went here on the last day of my visit to the region on the advice of a friend. I was reluctant because I had already seen several cathedrals in a few days, but I am so glad I went here. There were architectural curiosities...More

The cloister of the couvent is really nice (you must pay 4 euros to go there, while the visit to the church des Jacobins is free), and the building is amazing from an architectural point of view. Certainly worth a visit!

Our first visit to Toulouse and chance to walk through the city. The Couvent des Jacobins gave an impressive insight to religious life in the area from the early 1200s. Even if you are not that interested in the religious aspects of the Jacobins, its...More
