Very large river with a strong current...apparently it has flooded several times in the past and locals told me how high it had flooded...hard to imagine that much water.

Very nice for an early morning or late afternoon stroll or even to have a picnic for lunch. A beautiful bridge and interesting views onto the city.

I've seen cities exploiting more their rivers than Toulouse does (for example, Paris and Sevilla). However, a couple of bridges are interesting, and there are places along the river worth a visit, such as Place St Pierre.

Vistited the beautiful city of Toulouse today after several months away. The one attraction I wanted to see first was La Garonne. Simply the heart of the city! Beautiful views and nature. Many places to eat and drink along the river but the main thing...More

It's a big river with lots of water in it, like most big rivers have. Quite nice to look at, cool bridge.

Lovely city, with plenty to do, gorgeous buildings in classic red brick. Be sure to have lunch above the Marche Victor Hugo.
