It is now a museum but you can see a lot of the interior mechanism that used to lift water and distribute to the different quarters of the town. Quite an engineering feat.

The photography museum at the Chateau d'Eau is worth a visit, but the building itself and the history are even more interesting.

Chateau d'Eau was created by the photographer Jean Dieuzaide and because of the quality of the gallery, has continued to this day. The neighborhood is very nice.

A former water tower, it now houses a photography gallery since the 1970's. Some of the original mechanisms are visible through the glass floor and there is a very narrow staircase leading to the lower level.

Quaint museum with a unique exhibition. When we went there, they had a display of Llias Georgiadis work. It is nice that they change the exhibition often. It took us about an hour to walk around. Recommended while in Toulouse and so cheap to enter!...More

Visited on a rainy day. It is a nice little museum to spend an hour in, to appreciate the former water tower itself as well as the interesting photographic exhibitions. Friendly staff.
