What you get here is access to a rampart which is a good place to take photos of Rocamadour and the valley. You do not get to see any other part of the chateau. You do get a view of a small garden. You can...More

You need to see Rocamadour from there ! It is magnificient ! And most interesting as well ! Our 9 years old son really enjoyed it, feeling like a knight during the crusade !

We loved visiting the chateau ramparts. The views over Rocamadour are dizzyingly beautiful and if you are really lucky you might even spot an eagle soaring across the valley. Entry is via a coin-operated turnstile which takes 2€ coins (per person) so start collecting these...More

For two euros you get to walk the ramparts, it's basically a great view point and worth the tiny entrance fee, afterall, you have free parking and the main site is free.

Either they have changed the coin mechanism, or I invested 4€ into this visit ..... did get a receipt for 2€ though.. So the machine turnstile gate takes 1€ coins now. That said, did see some people try to enter via the exit ....and fail...More
