Hundreds of years of history are contained in this lovely central square in the heart of the city. An ideal place to while away some hours in one of the restaurants or cafés, gazing at the red brick facades that have seen the events of...More

This is a very tidy covered square in an elegant town centre, very fin de siecle. Mainly restaurants in the square, and food, wine and a fair number of bag and lingerie shops in the side streets. Worth a walk around.

Reminds one of the Place de Vosges in Paris although it is smaller and less elegant. Nevertheless, it is very impressive. Lots of cafés have seating in the square.

The distinctive pink brick and fine proportions make for a very fine square. Plenty of bars and one or two restaurants, up market shops and loads of outside seating make a charming centerpiece to the historic heart of the town.
