A lovely day trip to the lake. Great for swimming and other water sports like paddleboarding, canoeing.
Nice walk from the centre of Lourdes.

Lac de Lourdes is the lake located in the surroundings of this well know city in the South of France. It is a place to come with children and all family to play in children park, walking around the lake, doing a picnic or an excursion or some other things. Nice place especially in summer.

A lovely trip away from the hustle and bustle of Lourdes itself. A welcome afternoon away from the crowds while also getting back to nature. Try the canoes!!

After a long hot week in Lourdes this was the perfect bit of downtime. There is a bus service from town on the city bus. I went by taxi which was an expensive 18.90 euros, my return by bus 1.20 euro. The last bus is just after 6pm. Nice local restaurant and play area adjacent to lake

The weather forecast was for 32 degrees heat, my 18, 15 & 13 year olds had had enough walking anyway so we headed to the beach. Easily accessed with lots of shady parking were a good start. We found another shady spot on the grass to sit just by the water's edge. The lake looks amazing!

There is a cafe/restaurant, reasonable toilets, a place to hire paddle boards, kayaks etc, a children's play area, a free swimming pool area that is open between 1 & 6 pm with lifeguards and the lake itself.

There is a wooden pontoon which my kids spent all afternoon jumping and diving off along with others. There are signs saying that if you swim unsupervised it is at your own risk, along with others saying no diving etc but on a busy Saturday afternoon no one objected and they had so much fun.

It was busy with many locals bringing lunch and dinner. There are picnic tables as well as plastic tables and chairs to borrow, just asking you to return them when finished.

The shade meant we, with our very pale skin, could stay all afternoon in such a lovely and no cost environment. Such a find!

An excellent place for dinner. On the outskirts of Lourdes it is well worth searching out. We were fortunate to choose a lovely evening and had the added bonus of some excellent sunset photos!

Went with my husband. We parked quite a way from the lake which was well sign posted on how to get there. It was a lovely summer day and we took a leisurely stroll to the lake. It was not very crowded. People were sitting at picnic tables or having breakfast/brunch in the restaurant. There is a place there where you can hire kayaks/canoe's we approached the man sitting out the front as we wanted a pedalo. There are no signs telling you where to hire them. They sit at the pontoon moored up but no signs. The man, who was friendly , told us the restaurant is where you go to hire them. So we went there. It was not very expensive and you hire them per half hour. We hired one for an hour. It was 32 degrees and we went down to the lake , chose our pedalo and without anyone to help us, boarded our craft. My husband un-tethered us from the dock and we started pedalling. We soon realised how unfit we both are but it was jolly good fun. We had to keep stopping for a rest, but it gave us a chance to look at the stunning views. We didn't eat there at the restaurant on returning as we were not very hungry. Instead we drove into Lourdes to find somewhere to eat Parking is free at the Lake. Saw fish jumping and swimming. Great morning.

I like this place as it is a very nice place to relax. It can be crowded on the weekends and one can swim in the lake.

There are a lot of places to walk around. I did not take any pictures this time but last time I was here I did.

It is worth a visit if you are not in a hurry and are staying in Lourdes

Visited here today with 8,11,13,14 year olds. It was lovely and well worth the trip. It was very easy to get to. We arrived at around 3pm on a Sunday which was very busy but still managed to park ok and find a spot on the lakeside to relax. The road leading up to the lake is busy and requires some patient negotiating in peak times. The children enjoyed the ‘pool’ part, supervised by lifeguards from 1-6 pm and loved stand up paddle boarding. As well as that you can use pedalos and canoes also for a reasonable fee. There’s a lovely restaurant where we had crepes and cold drinks. My son enjoyed the opportunity to take some drone footage of the stunning scenery. We spent about 4 hours there and thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
