This powerful monument stands well and makes one think and research this great person of history .As always these less grandiose features can be more impressive.

This is an interesting enough monument, and larger than many on the battlefield but before going there try reading a little bit about Andre Maginot. He was a Junior Minister of War in 1914 but resigned and enlisted as an ordinary soldier - not something...More

Bigger then I expected and very photogenic. In an area rich with monuments and memorials, this one does have an interesting back-story.

Worth a few pictures. Beautiful but along the road. Not a must stop. We happened on it and noticed the famous name.

This magnificent monument can't be missed on a way from Verdun to Douaumont. There is not too much else to see around, but it is worth it to stop for a while.

The monument itself is an interesting site for what happened to Andre Maginot, but that is all that is there.

This super monument is a fitting tribute to Andre Maginot. It sits on the road to the Verdun memorial just below Fort De Souville.

Drove by and stopped by this monument to the French Minister of Defense whose name is given to the line of fortified trenches that the French built between the wars. Not much to see except the monument itself.
