Spent more than 1/2 day and could have done more. Lots of walking and unfortunately very little in English. However anyone can get the messages and see how much Roman history is here as well as Metz throughout the ages. Good Jewish exhibit too. I...More

Got here early one weekday--good thing, because lots of school groups came soon behind us. Large collections of artifacts from Roman times through Renaissance to 1700's, and special room to commemorate the French Jewish population before 1940. Good signage in exhibits too.

almost nobody knows it , but a polish sovereign, visited and stayed in the city of metz a long time , and was very appreciated, , because he invested in hospitals, museum, and the library

Real nice museum about Metz history with a lot of items of the roman period. Lots of items are presented and a lot of time is needed to circle the whole place. In a nutshell à place to visit in Metz.
