After an exciting tour in the city this place is to come down. Walk a round and enjoy the views or have a seat on one of the benches. There are only very few cafes around.

Much of the historic centre of Nancy is like a concentrated version of Paris and this lovely elongated square is a classic example. With its long central open space (surely used for markets?) and it's surrounding ensemble of 18th century buildings it's quite lovely. The...More

the whole ensemble if buildings with the arch de hero and the government building is quite a sight. its like entering a huge ballroom. It links the old town with the new and you can dive into the park from there. Took my breath away...More

The link between the magnificent square and the architectures of pre-emptive magistrates is an open space surrounded by beatifull trees. You can imagine how it was practiced in the 18th century for millitairy exercises.

Walked down here after a stroll in the park back to place Stanislaus. Not a large area it will take 10 mins but it is a nice place with trees and you can admire the buildings and wrought iron work from another angle before visiting...More

Not as big as Place Stanislas but pretty nice and leads straight to the bigger esplanade. Lots of opportunities for shade on hot and sunny days.

Beautiful parc/boulevard leading to Place Stanislas. You are sure to walk by/through it if you explore the restaurants around the Place. The trees lining the park and the statues there found make it a peaceful and quieter area, especially after visiting the adjacent plaza.

Wonderful Parc just meters away from Place Stanislas reminiscent of Palais Royal in Paris. Great place to rest and enjoy the surrounding architecture.

Located very near the Place Stanislaus, this is a fine example of mid 1700 architecture. The statues along the walls very impressive, although it appears two have been vandalised over the years.

Even though it is in the 'shadow' of the Place Stanislav, it is really nice little square. Not as glamorous as the Place Stanislav but the surrounding buildings are really nice.
