Highly recommended for a day trip from Paris, in bundle with the Palace of Versailles. Absolutely amazing!

The gardens are beautiful. Make sure you get a map, and wear comfortable shoes! I loved that after 3.30pm all the fountains are on and there is music in some areas as well. Loved the dancing fountains! There must be a lot of background work...More

My husband and I enjoyed exploring the gardens! It was in the early evening, which was gorgeous. We were able to see the fountains which lit up as the sun set. There were various water shows as well. We ended the evening watching a great...More

The size is immense, the art extraordinary, the fountains are beautiful and guests even use golf carts. We walked around the gardens and it took quite a long time but I’d rather walk to capture photos. I’d hate to have to pull weeds here lol....More

The gardens at Versailles are beautiful. You can see them upon leaving the palace. Walk and explore them. It’s worth it.

I’d recommend not linking this to the palace tour especially if visiting in the summer. The wait to get inside the gates and time to get through the palace exhausts you before you see the gardens. The sheer size and thought that went into the...More

While the palace of Versailles may not be all that amazing, the Garden of Versailles, access of which is through the palace, is fabulous. Easily managed to spend my day after catching a bus from Paris. Definitely worth a visit

gorgeous to wander and enjoy - you can even hire a golf car buggy which comes with an audio guide, to make your way around this huge and beautiful area.

I could wander in these gardens and not notice time passing. There are so many different personalities of the gardens and the fountains. It's an escape from thinking about anything else.

The gardens go on and on, with incredible fountains and statuary. Be prepared to walk a LOT or take the little hop-on-hop-off train to get to the outer edges of the gardens. Try to avoid going on very hot days, as it impeded our ability...More

We went in June and it was not crowded at that time. You can enter the gardens at no charge. We went just to go to the gardens one evening...... we through an entrance called the Queens Gate.

Yes! They are golf carts 34 euro for 1 hour and 8 euro for every 15 minutes after. Great save for the legs.
