Worth taking if you cannot climb lots of stairs to get to the top of the bottom of the Sacre Cour. Use your metro pass or 1 metro ticket per journey. Non stop service never have to wait more than 5 minutes.

Whew! Montmartre is like walking in San Francisco. Let's just say, plenty of opportunities to walk up step hills. Save yourself for the other walks and take the Funicular. Only concern is that my credit and debit cards didn't work here or at any Metro...More

It's a lot of steps to the top and so this is an absolute if you've less mobile individuals in your party. It is easy to get to from Abbesses Metro Line 12 from Concorde, and then a relatively flat walking via Rue Yvonne le...More

The journey is short but if you have the Paris Visite tickets for the metro this journey is included so you might as well use it if visiting the Sacre-Coeur. The trips are frequent and can fit a fair number of people in each car....More

With the thousands of things to do and types of cool transport to use in Paris I would give this a miss. I watched the long grumpy looking queue for quite a bit of money just to travel for about 30 seconds to miss the...More

It is a little nice attraction and i called a nice short cut to the Montmatre if you dont want to go up all steps, makes part of the public transportation in Paris, so if you have a daily pass like a 24 hour ticket...More

Even if you just travel up and walk down, frat views and a cheap ticket price. I believe that views are better than Eiffel Tower

There was not much people waiting so it didn't take that much time. A good way to go back from the Basilica and with a nice view. But that's it. Nothing special

Well, it beats walking and stairs. There will be enough once you get to Sacre Coeur. Take metro to Anvers station, walk up the souvenir street, yes, you'll recognize it, and the funicular will be right near you. It can be taken with your Paris...More

The first time we were in Paris we did not go into the church as we were on the other side (closest to the view of the city) and did not know about the Funicular as you can't really see it from that location. It...More

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the

Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy

I visited Montmartre last November. There was no line and we took the funicular immediately.
