This is a new exposition space right on the river, devoted to fashion. I went to a special expo on fashion photography. Very helpful staff. Interesting area.

From the outside this heavy green curious building resembles more to a sort of those undefined plastic design souvenirs on sale in some local chinese shops. It's an issue of its probably not most ideal fit in the otherwise rather unastonished, sober neighbouring architectural sorroundings....More

The building looked nice from outside, but I didn't really feel safe. Lots of dark dingy places with gangs of homeless people lurking around. A prostitute hanging around out side the design section and just found the place generally creepy.

The Cité de la Mode et du Design building is just beyond the Pont Charles de Gaulle. It will surely include cafés and shops, but the elements that should appeal most to visitors are the green external staircase, which is somewhat reminiscent of the Centre...More
