As we were only in Paris for three nights we decided the best way to get a flavour of it was to do a bus tour. Having researched them all I chose Paris Panoramic tour and I definitely made the right choice. I had a problem with the online booking so I rang the office and spoke with Arnold who was very helpful. He booked us in for the city tour and a cruise on the River Seine. Once we arrived in the office we were greeted like old friends. The bus was fabulous, single decker with glass roof. Nicola our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a very good and interesting presentation on Paris. It was very personal as the bus wasn't too big and we had all our questions answered with interest. It's the next best thing to a private tour so we would highly recommend it.

Our tour guide, Laurent, would have to be the worst tour guide we have ever had. His commentary was limited and did not enlighten us at all. We finished the tour not well informed at all on the rich history of Paris. It Is a pity as other reviews of this tour are glowing as they had a different tour guide. He left us to find our own way by foot to the Notre Dame cathedral. He could've guided us there instead of just staying on the bus. At the end of the bus tour we went on the River Cruise option. He instructed us to make our way to the boat entrance. Only to be told off by the cruise staff that we had to line up like everyone else. How embarrassing. He should have told us to wait at the back of the queue. Really did not enjoy this tour at all. A waste of money.

Our concierge at Hotel Bel Ami suggested the Paris Panoramic tour for something different to do since we had all been to Paris before. Wish we had done this the first day we arrived! Our guide, Laurent, was fun, entertaining and really painted the picture for us about historical Paris and what is going on in Paris now. We did the full 3.5 hour tour and was not disappointed! First thing Laurent did was tell us about the tour and wanted to know if we wanted to skip anything or see anything special. I have been to Paris many times and now I need to go back because I had missed so much about various villages, museums I wasn't aware of and more! This is great for all ages - HIGHLY recommend!

As we only had a few days in Paris I booked this tour to show my family a snapshot of the city and give them a taste of Parisian life. I don't think you could achieve that on a larger tour bus without the added benefit of live commentary from an affable, knowledgeable host like Oscar. We saw the main sights without wasting time stuck in traffic - the benefits of a minibus! Quick photo stops at the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame with plenty of photo opportunities en route, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Ecole Militaire, Champs Élysées, the Ritz (albeit undergoing renovations), Place de Vendome, Les Invalides, Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Pont Alexandre III plus lots of little anecdotes from Oscar kept my husband and I plus 2 teens engrossed for 2 hours. After that, the Seine cruise fades somewhat in comparison with its recorded commentary but it's a nice extension to the minibus tour, though, if sticking to a budget I'd opt for the minibus! A lovely, relaxing way to see Paris and that little bus can take shortcuts which would be inaccessible to the hop on hop off and bigger bus tours.

I had booked a tour of Paris for 3 friends who had never before seen Paris. This tour was booked for the date of their arrival--an introduction to the city and a way to keep them awake in order to adjust to the time change. Sadly, I gave the wrong date of arrival for my friends. I had pre-paid the tour. Rather than penalize me, the very kind people at the agency arranged for a driver (Herve) in his personal car to take me and my very tired friends on a Sunday tour of Paris. We were so pleased, we ended up using them for a tour of the chateaux in the Loire Valley and a tour of Versailles. You want to keep this agency's phone number on hand while you visit Paris and surrounds.
