Neighborhood: Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.

A Hidden gem. Fantastic all around roof view. Well worth the visit, fabulous view of the city and probably the best. No hassle from lots of people. Other features like the travel through the ages HD film show and some historical info.
Other than the confusion of getting into the building an excellent visit and once your done a great area to shop or eat.

Fantastic view of Paris, with best view of Eiffel. My 11 year old boy was very happy, because he is afraid of height but it was very safe to go to the top

Great place to view Paris especially if you'd like the Eifel Tower in your pictures. Airport like security but worked okay.

Fantastic view of Paris and the video showing the transformation of Paris through the centuries was awesome!
The views from every side were outstanding. The tower can be seen from everywhere and we were lucky enough to be staying in the same street where the tower is located.

Absolute Joke.... firstly the whole area feels like East Berlin at the height of the separation. Like I'm talking sketchy as....with zero signage or help. Also, don't bother booking tickets. We booked tickets months in advance and we still had to stand in a queue outside in the rain with everyone else that didn't have tickets left. The "staff" said yes, you queue like everyone else. Honestly a money making racquet before the building and area is levelled and redeveloped.
Absolutely terrible.
This building is called the middle finger by Parisians and the "tour" is an absolute middle to anyone stupid enough to buy a ticket or visit.

We arrived up on the observation deck 20 minutes early, to be go back downstairs as we weren't getting in because of our early arrival. The observation deck was absolutely empty. We went downstairs and promptly left. Very rude 😒

The views are amazing. Took lots of pictures. Could use some cleaning on all the glass upper and lower observation decks.

The problem wasn’t with the Tour. It’s that I never received my tickets. I clicked the Help link for assistance and that was useless.

Ascend to the top of the Montparnasse Tower for an astonishing aerial view over Paris, including the best views of the Eiffel Tower. There is a restaurant, an outside observation deck on the top floor and several virtual reality kiosks to see the city back in the hey day. It is a great way to see the city. I wish we would've gone at night to see the city lights, but we were on a tour trip for the week.

If I’ve paid for 2 tickets for yesterday and couldn’t make it can I go tonight instead or will they not let me use them now as it’s yesterdays date?

If we visit straight from the station with our luggage is there anywhere to leave it (luggage lockers) or can we keep it with us? Should only have a airplane style hand luggage suitcase on wheels with us each but would prefer to leave in a locker if possible.

I don’t think there is anywhere at the tower that you could do this - and everyone had to go through security like an airport. But the tower is next to Montparnasse train station, where I am pretty sure there are left luggage facilities.

We are visiting next week and will pre book a double access ticket so we can see the view during the day and at night. On the evening we would probably like to get a glass of champagne. Do we have to prebook this? I noticed there was an additional ticket option for this at €13, but would prefer to just decide if we want to do this on the day if possible.

You should be ok: we bought champagne up there although we hadn’t prebooked it. I couldn’t say whether it would have been cheaper had we prebooked .....

When will tickets be available for the Bastille Day fireworks? I am thinking that this would be an excellent viewing place without the crowds. Has this been an option before? The Eiffel Tower fireworks do not begin until 11pm or 2300 and they close at 2300 .

As earlier, ask direct. I doubt many posters will know. But if there is a ticket possibility, I’m guessing it will be expensive!
You might also try the Eiffel Tower, could be nicer, closer to the action.
