I had a few hours to kill in Paris and found this gem. They truly have some amazing examples of machines, and I especially enjoyed the collection of early electrical equipment and the steam powered machinery. An easy walk from my hotel in the Opera...More

Not as monumental as Vienna's and Berlin's t national tech and science museums which will consume your brain cells after several hours, this place is more intimate and suited for a 2-3 hour visit ( although you can easily spend half a day there without...More

The museum is very interesting, presenting beautiful exhibits. It is also kind of loaded. It could have been a little more organized, with more satisfying explanations in English.

This was my first visit here and it was a lovely treat. It is a beautiful museum fit for science nerds, history buffs, students, and everybody interested in the world around them. The museum is well organized into sections such as transportation, construction, machines, etc....More

Only 8 euro’s for basic entry to permanent exhibits. Limited large displays, mainly cabinets of machinery and equipment. Would appeal to those interested in the history of science and not children. Unlike the technical museum in Vienna there is not the same hands on experience....More

After spending 2 weeks in Paris, we were looking for something besides an art museum - and this museum fit the bill. We spent a little over 2 and a half hours here. We were happy that we had checked our coats for free so...More

This was my boyfriend's pick, and he loved it. I thought it was cool to look at all the different mechanisms, but he really read through everything (of course, he is French, and understood what they were saying, whereas I did not). This place isn't...More

A nice afternoon's distraction looking at a collection of vehicles and machines. Some of the descriptions are a little sparse for someone who speaks no French.

We definitely enjoyed this museum. My husband, a physicist, was particularly enthralled by all the weights, measures, and other devices ranging back hundreds of years. Any science enthusiast will have a great time here.

We were less than lucky with the weather during our visit to Paris in December 2017 and in order to get out of the rain we decided to make a second visit to this extremely interesting Museum. We were delighted with our choice as this...More

As others have said certain of the automata can be made to work by pressing buttons close to their cases. The age and fragility of certain automata means that the museum doesn't allow visitors to see them all in action on... More

You can buy tickets at the museum, but it is included in the Paris Museum Pass which is well worth it's cost. Try to avoid a school day if you are put off by having many adolescents around you as you view the exhibits... More
