A grand and expansive building up on the Chaillot hill that was created for an international expo. Now it houses a couple of interesting museums and one restaurant with perfect views of the Eiffel Tower. This is a place where you want to take photos.

The Eiffel Tower is completely closed off at the base with a 6 foot fence so the best way to take your iconic Paris, France Eiffel Tower is by going up the steps and taking your pictures from the balcony.
There are plenty of vendors here as well as the beautiful architecture of the Palais its self.

Neo-classical buildings with rows of tall columns on both wings. Was built for the 1937 World's Fair. It now houses the National Dance Theatre and several museums. Its grounds were under renovation during my visit. Chaillot is also a great place to view the Eiffel Tower without obstructions.

This place has a couple of museums and amazing views to the Eiffel Tower. The place was under renovation when we visited, but it was beautiful nonetheless. You must come here

This is a big building from one of the major expositions. It now houses a couple of museums, which are good, and a fancy restaurant with terrific views of the Tower. Good view of the Palais from the Parc du Champ Mars.

The Palais de Chaillot is an exceptional building. From a distance it looks as if it is ready to fly with those huge wing spans ready to take off! It was built in 1937 for the Universal Exhibition and it is home to several museums and a theatre. There is also a restaurant on site. We first saw it from atop the Eiffel Tower and it was a wonderfully amazing sight.

We visited to view the Exhibition of Otto Wagner. Master of Viennese Art Nouveau which was very interesting.
We then stayed to view the Gothic Architecture which was extensive. We then viewed the upper floors which had exhibits of more modern buildings.
The view of the Eiffel Tower from the ground floor is also very good.

Are you able to picnic in the Gardens of the Trocadero?

Yes you can although not the most ideal place to set up a full picnic. Certainly something light.

Does anyone know when and if there is still ballroom dancing here on the Trocadero?

Just knowing from my friend that there is a construction site on Palais de Chaillot at New Year.
Anyone could tell me when this work will be finished.
I plan to go Paris at the end of February 2016

Hello,
We will be staying at your hotel in November. We booked a junior suite. Will there be ample room for our 17 year old daughter and my husband and I in the suite?
