La Geode is next to the science museum in Parc de la Villette. The building is fantastic to see. I saw an under the sea IMAX film. Very comfortable seating. There is a cafe that has nice well priced food too.

We had taken the Saint Martin Canal Tour and were wondering through the LaVillette area when we happened upon the surprising sight of the reflective globe next to the Science Museum and inside a lovely park. The area is architecturally modern compared to the tourist...More

I was very dissapointed. Being a non-French speaker this was just a waste of time. The film and the big schreen itself was cool, but when my children and I did not understand a thing, it took away the pleasure. When purchasing the tickets at...More

First reaction is to admit I didn't realise how big it was. We originally accessed the globe by way of the theatre, not knowing it was open at the back had we of walked around the theatre. Didn’t really matter as the security staff at...More

When we first sat there. we felt it was just like any other IMAX, since the projection was not full. However, when the special film started, the projection was over the full half sphere, and it was unlike anything we've seen. The downside is that...More

First experience at the Geode last weekend. I saw America's Musical Journey. Journey is narrated by Aloe Blacc. The best effects come from the wide open views, LA, NYC, Chicago in this case. The advantages of 180° projection will be better with large landscapes.

We went to the Géode to see the film "Baleines" (called "Humpback Whales" in English). The theatre itself is fascinating. Access is either by walking around the back of the Cité des Sciences and down a stairs into the moat, or going to level -2...More

Nice construction, it is located inside Villette's Park and very close to Science and Industry City. There is also a shopping mall near to it and some place to eat.

This futuristic landscape has come to define the
northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed
with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a
wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science
museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime
explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus
cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the
summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to
