We were extremely lucky to have been able to visit Notre-Dame Cathedral before it was badly damaged by fire. This is a world monument and it holds a special place in our hearts. The towers of the cathedral still stand and we were fortunate to have climbed to the top before the fire. The architecture, is amazing, the gargoyles almost speak to you! And the views are amazing.…

I'm glad we got to visit Notre-Dame several times before the fire. It is good to know that the repair work is underway and slowly progressing, but I also realize it will take years to repair and rebuild. Hopefully, it will reopen during my lifetime so I can visit once again. Remember, there are other great and noted cathedrals in and around Paris to visit - St Sulpice, St. Germain, Montmartre, and Saint-Denis just to name a few. (PaM)…

Currently there is no entry which was a shame, I love UNESCO sites, but the outside of the towers can still be seen from a distance.

We were saddened to see the fire on tv, and with masses of people just had to see the renovation taking place, we hope all works out well.
