Here you can admire not only the rather unknown work of the sculptor Bourdelle, but also his atelier which is conserved in a very original setting. Peculiar are the statues in the small garden. The fact is that the statues are much to big for such a small place. And that makes you observe them better. An extra was the exhibition 'Le dos' (The back) with a large collection of dresses. Don't forget to visit the roof where you can see movie fragments.…

This is the atelier of the artist, now a museum devoted to his life and work. On my visit I was educated all about him and his importance in art history. Many works of art on display here, some of very large scale. Now I see his work in many venues and I appreciate it.

We really loved the museum. Bourdelle was a powerful artist. The studio and house are very well done. Video was nice too. The special exhibit on the back was fascinating. The evolution of the portrayal and dressing of the back was truely eye opening. The way the exhibit was integrated with the permanent collection was inspired. If you have the chance do go.…

Dedicated to the art of Bourdelle, mostly about bronze sculpture; this place located into a small street was also in the past is workplace. Modern and gigantic, these sculptures are impressive. I really appreciated the place where you can follow on a screen the full birth of a bronze sculpture; a process by far more complex than what I thought. A place to discover. (Side note: this fashion exhibition has nothing to do here but that’s probably a way to attract more people)…
