This jazz bar wasn't always known for its smooth jazz acts: boogie-loving GIs frequented its cool, smoky interiors during World War II.

It was like a time travel! Great jazz band and lovely atmosphere. Would go here any day any time soon again

This was my second visit in 10 years. I was happy to see that nothing has changed. Still very enjoying and pleasant. Although they look old there are really very good dancers both in style and energy which kept me away from the stage. Nevertheless...More

If you want a fun evening in Paris with some live music and dancing, definitely check this place out! The bar is located in a very touristic street close to Notre Dame and st. Michel fountain but let that not put you off. There is...More

Loved the look, the bartender and bouncer were fun, and the live jazz music and swing dancing were fantastic! If you're looking for a swing dancing venue, this place is great - a variety of dancers... although a bit crowded on the floor!

This is not your place if you are claustrophobic or like things neat. This is a dirty cave with a lot of color and atmosphere, inviting you in a journey in time. Highlights, besides the band, include the lively, enthusiastic crowd of loyal customers who...More

The ONLY place I found Parisians to be unfriendly was at the stifling Caveau. The local dancers seemed to resent visitors crowding their floor, especially Asians and Americans, and they were very rude. Also, when my friend asked a bartender to make a martini, he...More

Arrive early for a decent view and a seat! This was one of the best nights out i’ve had. I love jazz and the band were great. Everyone was up and dancing and encouraging each other to let loose. I will definitely be returning!

We had a lot of fun at this place, it had a great vibe, there isn't a lot of space down there and the drink selection is not great.

Visited this fantastic jazz club with my daughter, we had an amazing evening, fabulous music along with stunning jazz dancers. The club is compact but lively do gets very hot, for dancers wear flat shoes and thin clothes leave your jumpers at home! We only...More

We stopped off here for one music set. The music is good but the real reason I think people go is to watch the couple dancing. It’s decently fun. It is hard to find seats and the cover charge is high. But we did enjoy...More

When I was there the main act finished around 1:30 and they closed up by 2 or 2:30. This was a Tuesday I think, though.

First in, best dressed. Always packed but worth it. I have found it easier to get a table upstairs when band is playing downstairs. But it is not guaranteed.
