Dunno what all the hype is about. It's just another terribly busy street. And you can't properly see the Arc De Triomf unless you stand in the middle of the road.

After we visited the Arc de Triomphe, from place de l Etoile down to Tuilerie gardens we walked along the Champs Elysées. We stopped ina few shops. Nice walk.

I don’t know for sure, we were on the champs elysee for the Tour de France final on a Sunday from about 9:30 am and everything was open
