Queues for the Eiffel Tower can take over an hour at busy times but this skip-the-line tour lets you breeze past the crowds and enjoy priority access. Head straight up to the second floor and listen as your guide points out the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral. Finally, continue to the top floor on your own, where you can spend as long as you like admiring the views.

This place is amazing. Once we discovered it we went back every morning. We even bought some and had it vacuum packed to take home. Pick up a baguette across the street at Eric Kayser to go with your cheese. Wish we had something like this back home. We trusted the experts at the store to guide us and they never disappointed with their recommendations. Amazing shop, reasonable prices and would highly recommend stopping by for some of the best tasting cheese you've ever had.

With several selling points around the city, you are never far away from an Androuet cheese shop. Best cheeses around. Do not hesitate to ask for the specials of the season. It might be intimidating for foreigners to walk into a French cheese shop - unlimited choice but a simple question can help direct you.

Extraordinary. We put ourselves in the hands of the proprietor and enjoyed some truly wonderful cheese. Pick up a baguette at the bakery across the street as accompaniment!

Androuet are masters when it comes to knowledge of cheeses. I first went to the Androuet cheese restaurant (now closed) in the late 60’s, SIXTY years after they’ve been in the cheese business - it then served nearly 800 varieties of cheese (there are slightly over 1,000 cheeses in France)! Their 9 stores in Paris now sell about 120 varieties, mainly but not exclusively French. On line, you can order even more. The salespeople must have doctorats en fromagerie, for they offer insightful advice based on your preferences, better than those at cheese counters at top gourmet épiceries. They also vacuum-pack, for ease of long-distance transport. There is now a trend to make cheese on which is grafted fruits. Androuet should consider making Époisses or Munster grafted with durian; that would sell well in Asia.

Weren’t hungry but really didn’t want to miss this from our trip to Paris this time. Have to say reserving wasn’t necessary there were free seats despite what the site said. But the service was very very friendly and the cheese selection was just right as was the wine list. Certainly worth a try if you like cheese and a lightish diner
